Freelance Web Design & Development and a Bag Full of Experience...

Hello, and thanks for dropping by!

My name is Andy Blank, and I work for one of Cheshire's leading, most progressive new media agencies as a professional web developer.

During my spare time [and when family commitments allow] I take on freelance web development and web design projects.

Web Development in Classic ASP and PHP

Having been employed as a professional web developer since 1996, I have designed and developed a vast range of web sites, some of which have gone on to be hugely successful.

I program in Classic ASP and PHP (both being extremely efficient scripting languages), having resisted the industry trend to re-train in .NET.

I favour Microsoft SQL Server as the database platform of choice, however, I am equally comfortable utilising MySQL, especially when developing in PHP.

Web Design

Alongside my programming skills, I also have a pretty good eye for web design and layout (examples are available on request), and normally, the two skills go hand-in-hand.

Search Engine Optimisation

SEO is a real passion of mine, and after many years in the web industry, I have gained a huge amount of experience and expertise in this field.

As SEO (when done correctly!) can be a very time consuming excercise, I only take on SEO clients who I feel I can genuinely help to significantly improve their search engine rankings.
